Many people who want to try out Perl 6 today pick up the Rakudo Perl 6 compiler. But how did it start, what has its development looked like so far, what are we working on today, and what is the road map for the year to come?
In this talk, I'll provide an insight into how Rakudo works, the people behind it and what we're doing to make it faster, more stable, friendlier to the programmer and easier to extend.
